BAe Concorde
The Aérospatiale-BAC Concorde made it's first flight in 1969 and was to set a new standard in air travel. Concorde flew regular transatlantic flights from London Heathrow and Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport to New York JFK and Washington Dulles, flying these routes at record speeds, in less than half the time of other airliners. The above painting shows Concorde in an early British Airways livery just after takeoff from London Heathrow.
Concorde made it's last flight on 26 November 2003.
