The Guild of Aviation Artists was formed in 1971 and is recognised throughout the world as the premier society for the promotion of aviation art. The 'Aviation Paintings of the Year' Annual Exhibition, held in London each July in the Mall Galleries and open to both members and non-members


The American Society Of Aviation Artists is a non-profit organization founded in 1986. ASAA brings together persons who share a love of art and aviation in an organization that challenges itself to the creation of works that are unique to aviation and aerospace.

The five founding members share an average of over 45 years' experience in the field of aviation art. Keith Ferris, Jo Kotula, Bob McCall, R.G. Smith and Ren Wicks have produced some of the most famous and award winning aviation and aerospace paintings in the world.

Aces High Aviation Gallery


The Aces High Aviation Gallery  is well worth a visit for the aviation art collector. Colin Hudson and Rick Taylor opened the gallery in 1997, and have just recently celebrated there 10th Anniversary. The gallery has a number of original oils and signed prints on sale by a some of worlds leading aviation artists.

Roger's website has some excellent aircraft photo on show taken from various airshows around the UK. The site also includes a forum, chat room for hobbies etc. Well worth a look

Charles J Thompson GAvA;ASAA;MGMA

I was introduced to Charles through one Guild of Aviation Artists regional meetings at the Imperial War Museum Duxford. Charles has been appointed one of the Guilds portfolio assessors and helps me with a number of issues about all aspects of creating artwork, and must say I'm truly grateful to him. John Sarsfield ASAA

John graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1972 with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and spent the next 17 years flying F-4 Phantoms with the Air Force.

John is a full member of the ASAA, and has a very active roll in the society, and has always been on hand to help me with advice and supplied me with feedback in the online Workshops. John's paintings display great atmosphere and mood, please visit the above link to view some of his work.
