In December 2003 Brendon Deere and his project team began the restoration of PV270 a Mk IX Supermarine Spitfire.
This aircraft was originally built at the Castle Bromwich factory in September 1944 and was going to be restored in the colours and markings of Brendon Deere’s Uncle Air Commodore Alan Christopher "Al" Deere, DSO, OBE, DFC & Bar. The project was to last approximately 5 years and in March 2009 PV 270 returned to flight. Brendon kindly came up with the title for this painting.
The above painting shows PV270 making a turn in high altitude cloud.
