Bristol Blenheim MK1.

 

This painting depicts a 23 Squadron Blenheim Mk I retuning from Convoy patrol in early 1940. The aircraft was coded YP-G and flown by Stan Duff and his Air Gunner was WR Stevens DFM, both who went on to serve with the Squadron during the BoB. .

I was lucky enough to speak with Ron Stevens before he passed away, and we talked about various aspects of the compostion, I remember Ron saying it was important not to forget the Gun Pack.
